The inground fitting is to be used for garden beds, lawns or any other soft surface or a paved area with sand/aggregate under the pavers. A hole is dug and the inground fitting is concrete into the hole. Once the concrete is set (approx. 2-3 days later depending on weather conditions) you can install the umbrella to the fitting using the mini-rotation spigot that comes with it. It allows for 360 degree rotation of the umbrella. If the umbrella is removed for winter storage, the spigot can also be detached and the inground fitting has a cap to neatly cover it.
