chilli con carne
THE INGREDIENTS
- 500g Beef Mince
- 2 onions chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup hot water
- Squeeze lemon juice
- Pepper
- 1 1/2 cup Baked Beans
- Oponal Corn Chips, Salsa and Sour Cream to serve
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat you BBQ to 180C.
- Sauté onion and garlic in oil until so, add the mince and stir breaking up the mince, continue to stir occasionally until the mince is just cooked, then stir in spices.
- Mix together soy sauce, hot water, sugar and tomato paste.
- Add to the mince, onions and spices, squeeze in the lemon juice and season with pepper.
- Process half the beans to a purée and mix the purée and the rest of the Baked Beans into other ingredients.
- Let simmer for a short me to thicken.
- Serve with Corn Chips, Salsa and Sour Cream.
